Large Format Tiling
Larger formats mean less grout lines and a crisp, uninterrupted look, which naturally leads itself to the clean aesthetics of modern architecture. Open plan spaces are suited to these formats and more compact rooms can be visually expanded by creating a plainer and cohesive appearance. These principles apply equally to both floors and walls.
At Clelland Ltd we have embraced this trend and recognised that the successful fixing of these larger, heavier formats requires a specialist set of skills and equipment. The complexity of handling and moving these tiles requires careful planning, as does the substrate preparation and selection of suitable fixing materials.
We have developed techniques for fixing tiles of up to 3600mm and have invested in specialist installation tools so that we can now offer a tried, tested and trusted fixing service for formats of all sizes.
Swimming Pools
We have over 15 years experience in the specification, supply and fixing of tiles for underwater applications and we have worked in residential and commercial pools, fountains and water features. We have also tiled jacuzzis, hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms and cold plunge pools, all of which present their own distinct challenges.
We are also experienced in the specification and application of waterproofing membranes, renders and screeds and can offer a full turnkey package for pool refurbishments and new builds.
